For Teachers

Every game on this site is free, runs in the browser, and asks nothing of your students: no accounts, no logins, no personal data. Each game has a teacher guide with the math, worked examples, the mistakes students make, and ideas for using it in class.

Every game designed by Mr. H, an 8th grade math teacher

Using the games in class

Getting the games past school filters

This site was built so it can run on school networks. There are no accounts and no chat, and nothing students type is sent anywhere. Progress (like best times and coins) saves only in that browser on that device, and students can erase it any time with the Reset progress button.

If your school's filter blocks the site, ask your technology department to allow studentmathgames.com. It may also help to mention that the site keeps no student data, uses a cookie-free visitor counter, and that any ads are non-personalized because the site is registered with Google as directed to children. The privacy policy explains exactly what the site does and doesn't collect.

Accessibility

Every game can be played in Spanish with the 🌐 Español button in its top bar (the choice is remembered for all the games on that device). Every game can be played with the keyboard alone: arrow keys move between buttons, Enter or Space presses them. Games fill the screen on a computer, and on phones and tablets the page never scrolls. Read more on the accessibility page.
